Center for Innovation in Mental Health Promoting Toolkit Event

Co-host: The CUNY Graduate School for Public Health and Health Policy Center for Innovation in Mental Health, the NYC DOHMH Office of Consumer Affairs, and the NYC Peer and Community Health Worker Workforce Consortium

The launch of a new toolkit to strengthen organizational readiness for the integration and support of the peer and community health worker workforce.

Workforce Integration of Peer and Community Health Worker Roles: A needs-based toolkit to advance organizational readiness has been developed by the NYC Peer and Community Health Worker Workforce Consortium at the NYC DOHMH. The event will introduce this resource. Expected highlights of the event include:
- An inside look at the evolution of the toolkit
- A demonstration of the self-assessment to familiarize attendees with its use and how it customizes each toolkit
- Engaging conversations with colleagues about innovative strategies for implementation of recommended practices.
The Keynote Speaker is Joyce Wale, Executive Director for Behavioral Health at United Healthcare Community Plan for New York State. Ms. Wale will share her insight and expertise on organizational readiness as she discusses the potential opportunities presented by this resource.
